Dr. Pinatelli is a licensed clinical psychologist who helps individuals work through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions. She cares deeply about helping clients feel understood, gain insight into their experiences, and create more connected and meaningful lives. She is deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and supporting trauma survivors in their healing journey through self-compassion, evidence-based treatment, and authentic connection. Dr. Pinatelli integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Dr. Pinatelli received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus. She went on to earn both her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in Emeryville, California (an APA-accredited program). During her doctoral training, she gained specialized experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment and serving as a peer supervisor at CSPP Assessment Clinic. She also trained in community mental health, school-based, and Veterans Affairs settings, providing therapy and assessment to adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns.

Dr. Pinatelli completed her doctoral internship at VA Northern California Health Care System, Martinez Clinic, and her postdoctoral training at VA Palo Alto Health Care System. During this time, she provided therapy and assessment services across inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient PTSD treatment settings, working with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, chronic medical conditions, and other life challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pinatelli is the author of Hope and Healing for Survivors: A Workbook for Women Who Have Experienced Childhood Sexual Abuse, published by New Harbinger Publications. She also writes for Psychology Today on topics related to trauma recovery, relationships, emotional wellness, and personal growth. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space where clients can better understand themselves, build resilience, and develop practical tools for meaningful and lasting change.
