Dr. Karla Marchbanks-Onofre is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Clinical Forensic Psychologist. She specializes in conducting forensic immigration psychological evaluations. She conducts comprehensive evaluations for Hardship Waivers, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) evaluations, U-Visa, T-Visa, and asylum evaluations. Dr. Marchbanks-Onofre also has experience completing forensic evaluations, juvenile violence risk assessments, suicide risk assessments, crisis stabilization, implementing behavioral interventions required to manage violent and aggressive youth, and psychological testing including personality and cognitive assessments.

Dr. Marchbanks-Onofre received her undergraduate degree from Chapman University in Orange, California, and her Doctorate of Psychology from Alliant University in Irvine, California. She completed her doctoral internship at Corsicana Residential Treatment Center, a residential treatment program within the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. There she worked with incarcerated adolescents who suffered from a myriad of psychiatric disorders including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Autism Spectrum disorders, and PTSD. Her postgraduate work included treating adolescents in the Crisis Stabilization Unit within the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.

Additionally, Dr. Marchbanks-Onofre works within California's Department of State Hospitals. She possesses expertise working with patients who have been found Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST), patients who are found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI), and Offenders with Mental Disorders (MDO).
